DVS1 is a renowned DJ and club culture advocate whose love of music and respect for his craft has earned him a devoted following. He started out as a promoter and DJ in the Midwest rave scene, before gaining international recognition with his music releases. DVS1’s label HUSH, which started as a promotion and sound system outfit, now encompasses a record label with a focus on refined and purist techno. He is also known for his experimental project called “The Wall of Sound,” where he replaces the DJ at the front of the room with a stack of speakers for a sociological experience. DVS1 is also a critical thinker who has spoken out about challenges in the electronic music community and launched S.O.S. to promote community and artistry in electronic music. In addition to touring and producing, he co-founded MONOM, a studio space in Berlin with the world’s most advanced spatial sound instrument. Despite his success, DVS1 remains committed to his underground values and never loses sight of the future.
