The atypical of 2020 year traslated to Dantz Festival 2020, becoming in a digital festival. Based on the concept of “Perspectives”, the program developed in different lines.
In 2019, Dantz Festival achieved its first SOLD OUT at many of its activities of the edition. The main theme of the festival was mainly based on the group Esplendor Geométrico. Musical and artistic aesthetics and lack of a political discourse gave the main role to sound, rhythm and musical textures, wich were the concept of the edition.
Dantz Festival 2018 was finalist at Fest Awards due to programing a paritary line up with 50% of the artists being women. The editorial line of this year’s edition treated social and political global conflicts and problems, such as wars, racismo, homophobia or censorship.
First edition of Dantz Festival was based on the concept of peripheral and far away noises. Both for the remoteness from the origin of music, with the participation of groups such as Islam Chipsy (Egypt), Lafidki (Camboya) and Kiki Hitomi (Japan), as well as the music type, with a more peripheral carácter, as it was the case of Miguel A. García, a very experimental proposal.
