Sama’ Abdulhadi

Originally from Ramallah, Sama’ Abdulhadi is the first Palestinian DJ to gain international recognition. Born in Jordan, she first connected with hip-hop before discovering techno, which she explored deeply in Beirut’s vibrant electronic scene. There, she developed her signature style: intense, high-energy techno with Lebanese influences, inspired by Berlin’s sound.

She studied Audio Engineering in London and later worked in Cairo on film and music projects, collaborating with Oscar-winning sound designer Nicolas Becker. In 2018, her Boiler Room set in Ramallah launched her onto the global stage, amassing over 10 million views. The performance captured the rare energy of Arab parties—marked by urgency and a zest for life.

Deeply committed to her roots, Abdulhadi founded Union, a creative collective in Ramallah, and donated proceeds from a T-shirt fundraiser to a local cultural center. In 2020, she was arrested while filming a music set near a mosque—despite having official permission—sparking global support and solidarity.
